Developing the Global Dimension in the School Curriculum
Description:
This booklet shows how the global dimension can be integrated across the curriculum and into the wider life of schools. It was been published by a consortium of government bodies and NGOs: DFID, DfES, QCA, DEA and the British Council. The free booklet includes a subject-by-subject guide, along with National Curriculum links. There are also sections about the benefits of incorporating a global dimension for both pupils and teachers and ideas for enriching existing school activities and improving standards. The booklet has many case studies to illustrate how schools are including a global dimension in school life, through a variety of classroom and whole-school activities.
